Step 1 — Send a scan

You send us the document

Send a photo or a PDF of a driver license, a vehicle license disc, or a barcode. A phone camera photo is enough.

Step 2 — Driverscan reads it

We decode and interpret it

Driverscan decodes the barcode on the license, and where there is no barcode to read, it reads the image directly instead.

Step 3 — Get structured data back

You receive clean, structured data

You get structured data (JSON) back: name, license number, vehicle class, and the rest of the fields encoded on the license.

What Driverscan can read

Driverscan can decode South African and Namibian driver licenses, and South African vehicle licenses. It can also retrieve the encoded photo payload from the South African drivers license.
